Black Swans in Software

DevconTLV June 2015 Conference, Monday, June 22, 2015, 11:00

The term "Black Swan" was coined by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in 2007 and it represents those rare events that are high-profile, hard to predict and have disproportionate effect on history, as well as our blindness to their massive role in our history. This talk covers the implications of these Black Swan events in software. Including development processes, production runtime in SAAS, big data and service oriented architectures.

Coding, designing, architecting and leading software projects mainly in web related environments in the last 27 years as writing.

Specialized in building architectures for millions of concurrent users, with maximum scalability, minimal points of failure. All while handling complex and fun applicative problems.
